Kerikeri is the home of the Bay of Islands airport, making it only a 35 minute flight from Auckland. There are some excellent things to see and do in Kerikeri with a do not miss gourmet chocolate factory, great wineries, horse trekking, day spa, mini golf, bush tours and more.
Bountiful in restaurants, cafés, galleries, gourmet food shops and laced with some beautiful conservation areas and walking tracks along native reserves and rivers including the fabulous Puketi Kauri Rainforest and Rainbow falls.
Historic early European buildings still stand with the country’s oldest house, Kemp Mission House, and New Zealand’s oldest stone building, the Stone Store dating from 1832. These wonderful buildings are regarded as the “Cradle of the Nation”.
