Milford Sound: Fly | Cruise | Fly

Enjoy our incredible scenic flight over to Milford Sound crossing the Southern Alps, Mt. Aspiring National Park, and Fiordland National Park. Relax and sit back as we take you on the flight of a lifetime as you fly above mountains and through valleys, seeing lakes & waterfalls only viewable in the air. Our local pilots share amazing facts about the history and geology of the area. Fly over Milford Sound and land at the remote Milford Sound airstrip. You will then have the option to walk 10 minutes to the boat terminal or we can drive you round in our complimentary shuttle. 

We will then get you checked in and ready for the next part of your adventure, cruising on Milford Sound. Enjoy approximately 1hr 45 to 2hrs on the Southern Discoveries Nature cruise, get up close and personal to the waterfalls and if you're lucky witness some of Milford's incredible wildlife such as penguins, dolphins and, Seals. With complimentary tea and coffee onboard; enjoy your time inside or out on the expansive viewing deck of the vessel taken in all that Milford Sound has to offer. The cruise heads out the whole length of the Fiord before returning back to the boat terminal.

Our pilot will be there to greet you coming off the boat and take you back to our plane for your return flight home. We take a different route out of Milford Sound, heading South West to show you Sutherland Falls and Lake Quill, something that only is seen on scenic flights or on the 4-day Milford Track. After taking this in you will pass another one of New Zealand's incredible mountain lakes, Lake Erskine, a particularly blue lake only seen from the air! We will head home via one of the many valleys that take you back onto Lake Wakatipu before landing at Queenstown Airport where your adventure finishes.
