Rising in the Rangitāiki Plains, the Bay of Plenty's longest river (155km) gathers strength before cutting through an impressive gorge below Aniwhenua Falls. Come explore this natural wonder with us by riverbug. Splash through fun roller-coaster wave-trains, marvel at waterfalls cascading down lush mossy rock walls and listen to the sounds of nature. This 5km stretch of remote wilderness is one of the Eastern Bay of Plenty's hidden taonga (treasures), and a special place connect with nature in a small group that is mostly the only party on the river.
