Take the plunge with an adrenaline-inducing Hanmer Springs Bungy Jump! Experience the elation from a 35-metre freefall to the surging river below amidst stunning scenery at Canterbury’s only bungy site.
Our friendly and professional staff will brief you on the different jump options available (including tandem), and our full-body and ankle harnesses provide extra safety for your leap from the historic Waiau Ferry Bridge. Certificates and t-shirts are provided for completing your must-do bungy adventure, with photos and video available to purchase so you can relive the experience again and again!
You’ll find us at 839 Hanmer Springs Road, just past the turnoff towards Hanmer Springs from State Highway 7 and just before the Waiau Ferry Bridge. There’s a large carpark with plenty of parking for cars, campervans, and coaches.
Additional Information
- Please arrive 15 Minutes before your booking time
- We supply a Hanmer Springs Bungy t-shirt and certificate after you’ve completed your jump
- A minimum weight of 35kg and maximum weight of 140kg applies for solo jumpers (a maximum combined weight of 200kg applies for tandem jumps)
- A minimum age of 10 years applies (participants aged 15 years and under must have an adult aged 16 years or over with them to sign their risk disclosure waiver), and all jumpers must fit safety equipment
- Photos and GroPro video footage of your bungy jump can be purchased at an additional cost
- Our onsite snack bar supplies drinks, ice creams, snacks and light meals
- Our health & safety practices have been assessed by independent outdoor safety experts and we are - AdventureMark Safety Certified.
- Hanmer Springs Attractions reserves the right to refuse participation should any person be affected by alcohol, medication or any other substance such that they may be a risk to themselves or others.

Good weather is required for this experience. If we need to cancel due to poor weather, you'll be offered a different date or a full refund.
There is a minimum number of travellers for this experience. If the minimum isn't met and we need to cancel, we will offer a different date/experience or a full refund.
