Tourist Information About Hawkes Bay

Hawke’s Bay is located on the east coast of the North Island. It is known for its sunny climate, wide landscapes, and long history. The region has a beautiful coastline, rolling farmland, and art deco architecture. Napier is the main city in the region. It is famous for its art deco buildings, which were built after a large earthquake in 1931. Walking through the streets gives you a glimpse of a past era, with colourful buildings and unique designs.

There are many parks, gardens, and scenic lookouts around the area. Coastal tracks offer views of the ocean and cliffs, and inland roads take you past vineyards and orchards. The region is also home to one of the largest mainland gannet colonies in the world. Museums and galleries in the area share stories of local culture, early settlers, and Māori history. Smaller towns nearby also have heritage buildings, farmers markets, and peaceful walking areas. Hawke’s Bay is a region full of character. From seaside views to cultural spots, it offers a mix of nature, history, and charm.
