The Kiwi Night Encounter offers one of the best chances in New Zealand to see kiwi up close, an experience many describe as a must-do in New Zealand.

Your evening begins in the visitor centre, where experienced guides introduce you to the kiwi and the conservation work behind their protection. You’ll then be guided to a purpose-built habitat designed to support natural kiwi behaviour while allowing for quiet, respectful observation.

Full refund if cancelled up to 48 hours before activity starts.

There is a minimum number of travellers for this experience. If the minimum isn't met and we need to cancel, we will offer a different date/experience or a full refund.

Terms

Cancellations or requests for changes must be advised in writing or by phone and acknowledged by Nga Manu within office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm at least 24 hours before the commencement time of the booking.
Cancellations made before the commencement time of the tour or experience will incur the following charges (expressed as a percentage of the total invoiced price for the tour or experience):
• 25% deposit required to secure booking.
• More than 14 days prior to commencement no charge.
• More than 24 hours prior to commencement 25% up to a maximum of $250.
• 24 hours or less prior to commencement 75% up to a maximum of $250.
• No show will result in no refund.
Refunds
No refunds will be made once tour has commenced.
No refund will be available in respect of any tours, accommodation, hires, services or inclusions not utilised unless extenuating circumstances apply. In such instances, final decisions will be made at the discretion of Ngā Manu management.
