Go through both gates on your way into Tawharanui Regional Park. There is a parking lot at the end of the road.
What do I need to bring?
Warm layers – it can get chilly at night, even in warmer months
Closed Shoes – suitable for uneven terrain
Water bottle – stay hydrated during the walk
Insect repellent – optional, to keep the mozzies away
Weather-appropriate clothing – including a rain jacket just in case
Camera (optional) – no flash, to avoid disturbing wildlife
A sense of adventure and patience – nature moves at its own pace!
