A brand new tour unlike any others. The Mid Canterbury Spin and Soak Tour is a special day tour from Christchurch with a little bit of everything. The tour departs from Christchurch City heading to the Rakaia Gorge for a 45 minute jet boat ride with Discovery Jet. Take in the majestic limestone cliffs towering above this unique braided glacial-fed river. Throw a few spins in there for a bit of fun...why not? After the thrills of the jet boating it is time for you to kick back and relax. We head to the town of Methven and the beautiful Opuke Hot Pools and Spa. Lunch is included with your booking and is available at Opuke after your pool session. Before returning to Christchurch we will take you to the iconic Blue Pub in Methven for a drink on us. We return to Christchurch in the evening, returning about 1730.

We start from our departure point in front of Novotel Cathedral Square in Christchurch City with a meeting time of 08:30, ready for an 08:45 departure.
The Mid Canterbury Spin and Soak Tour is a special day tour from Christchurch with a little bit of everything.
The tour departs from Christchurch City, heading to the Rakaia Gorge for a 45-minute jet boat ride with Discovery Jet. Take in the majestic limestone cliffs towering above this unique braided glacial-fed river. Throw a few spins in there for a bit of fun...why not?

Spa treatments at Opuke can be arranged; however, the treatments must be within the timeframe that we have at Opuke, as we cannot delay the tour. Spa treatments and additional drinks at lunch at Opuke must be paid directly on the day.
This tour only operates on weekdays until further notice

Good weather is required for this experience. If we need to cancel due to poor weather, you'll be offered a different date or a full refund.
There is a minimum number of travellers for this experience. If the minimum isn't met and we need to cancel, we will offer a different date/experience or a full refund.
No refunds for no shows or cancellations within 24 hours of departure (0830 day before your booking)
Unfortunately we cannot take children under the age of 6 years.
The tour is most likely not suitable for cruise ship passengers due to challenges with getting back in time for cruise shuttles. If there is a last shuttle departure (from the city) of after 1800 that will be fine. We are not responsible for cruise passengers who book unaware of the return times.
