Alpaca Farm Tour - Meet Greet & Feed

Kepler Mountain View Alpaca Farm is a working farm and one of the top award winning alpaca herds in New Zealand specialising in rare and hard to breed colours.  This is a unique opportunity to see the very rare Leopard Appaloosa. 

Kepler Mountain View Alpaca Farm Tours offer two options for meeting alpacas and feeding them.  We limit groups to a maximum of 12 people so everyone (including the alpacas) has a great experience.   All tours are accompanied by us as we take you into the paddocks so you can get up to and personal with different groups of alpacas and learn about them in their normal farming environment. Meet them on their terms.

Here is an opportunity to experience the genuine alpaca farming lifestyle.  We are not a petting zoo or a large tourism operation, what you experience is  a working alpaca farm and there is a variety activities that happen depending on the season, it may be birthing or mating time (Dec - March) and if something is happening we are happy to show you.  Many visitors have had the wonderful experience of watching a birth that just happens during their time with us. 

Also allow some time to visit Wild Wool Gallery where our hand-crafted Alpaca fine accessories are available for sale along with alpaca wool, yarn, blanket, duvets, and many other alpaca products that we have made up in including roving for spinners or even visit the shearing shed and purchase a raw fleece. Our focus is on NZ grown and produced.

Unable to make any of our set times – contact us to arrange a special time for your group, please note as we are a working farm we do need to arrange this ahead of time.
