Enjoy a hosted tasting of their premium wines alongside a delicious platter, while learning about the winery’s unique philosophy and winemaking approach. You’ll also step behind the scenes with exclusive access to the fermentation rooms and underground cellar — a special insight into one of the country’s most prestigious wine estates.

Next, we make our way to the summit of Te Mata Peak, where sweeping panoramic views stretch across the Heretaunga Plains, the Tuki Tuki Valley, and out to the Pacific Ocean. It’s one of Hawke’s Bay’s most breathtaking viewpoints and a true highlight of the region.

To finish the day, we visit a second boutique winery for another relaxed tasting experience — often the beautiful Te Mata Estate. Additional Information

Cruise passengers can take the free shuttle bus from the port to the National Aquarium (second stop); the ride takes about 5-10 minutes.

We will be at the pick-up location 5-10 minutes before the tour starts.

The vehicle is either a Silver Mercedes Sprinter or a black Prado, both of which have Mates Travel signage on the side. The driver-guide will hold a sign with your name on it. We will be at the pick-up location 5-10 minutes before the tour starts.
