Your adventure begins with a scenic shuttle into the upper reaches of the valley, where our experienced guides will provide a full safety briefing and paddling instruction before launching onto the river. From the moment you push away from shore, you'll be immersed in a pristine natural environment surrounded by towering rimu, mānuka, kāmahi, and regenerating native forest.

As you travel downstream, you'll navigate over 60 exciting rapids consisting of Grade 3+ rapids that winde through narrow gorges, rocky outcrops, and beautiful wilderness landscapes. The river offers the perfect balance of adventure and scenery, providing plenty of thrills while remaining accessible for first-time rafters and adventurous travellers alike.
