From Mount Tarawera to the Waimangu Volcanic Valley, view the eruption trail and the surrounding Lakes district whilst enjoying informed commentary from your experienced local pilot/guide, continuing your experience on your floatplane scenic flight, fly towards Lake Rotoiti. Good weather is required for this experience. If we need to cancel due to poor weather, you'll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This trip requires a minimum of 2 adult fares.
Should Volcanic Air cancel the booking due to unsuitable weather conditions, or for circumstances beyond our control, then a full refund will apply.
Children under 2 are free, children aged 2-11 years pay a child fee which is 75% of the adult fare, 12 years and older pay full adult fare.
Tour duration, flight times and inclusions may vary due to weather conditions, volcanic activity and passenger loadings. Excursion landings are undertaken at passengers' own risk and such landings are at your pilot’s sole discretion.
Any passenger exceeding 135kgs as weighted by Volcanic Air will be required to pay two adult fares.
