What You Can Expect

What can you expect on your Waiheke Island wine tour? It will be a premium experience that includes the best vineyards and the best wines, but how does it work? Here is an overview.

Pick Up

You have two options for getting picked up by your tour guide:

• From your accommodation – if you are already on Waiheke Island, we can collect you from your accommodation. When you book, we’ll let you know the time that we’ll pick you up.
• From the ferry terminal – the ferry terminal on Waiheke Island is serviced by Fullers Ferry. It has a scheduled crossing between Downtown Auckland and our ferry terminal here at Waiheke Island every day at 10am. That’s the one you need to catch. The crossing takes about 40 minutes, and we’ll be waiting for you when you get here.

Transport

You’ll be transported on your tour in comfortable, modern, 12-seater mini-buses. They are air-conditioned and have tinted windows as well as other amenities. Your tour guide will be on the bus, too, providing commentary and giving you information on the island and our history of winemaking.

Vineyards and Wine Tasting

You’ll visit at least four vineyards on the tour, tasting wines at each one. We carefully select the vineyards we visit on our premium tours to ensure the best possible experience. You’ll also meet some fantastic people who have dedicated their lives to making some of the best wine in the world.

End of the Tour

The tour ends late in the afternoon. We can drop you at your accommodation or back to the ferry terminal after the tour at 4 PM crossing back to Auckland. You can also choose to stay in Oneora village a little longer. If you choose this option, your guide will give you all the information you need on the best places to visit.
