Get set for a 2-hour fully guided Hanmer Springs Rafting trip along the gentle rapids of the Grade 2 Waiau River. This fun-filled activity is action-packed, with rock jump and Jet Boat ride back to base included.

Our qualified and professional guide will supply you with modern equipment in our indoor heated changing rooms and give you all the training required, and our 9-seat rafts allow plenty of room. With the scenic Waiau River canyon set amongst stunning mountains and marble land formations, you’ll be sure to have an unforgettable experience. A must-do adventure perfect for all ages, especially families and small groups.

- Our Rafting experience includes approximately 60-90 minutes on the river and includes a return from your rafting end point back to base by Jet Boat
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to booking time.
- A minimum age of 6 years applies (participants aged 15 years and under must be accompanied on the activity by an adult aged 16 years or over), and all guests must fit safety equipment
- We supply modern wetsuits, booties, helmets, and life jackets – please bring your swimsuit and a towel.
- Warm indoor changing areas are provided
- Photos of your rafting experience can be purchased at an additional cost
- Our onsite snack bar supplies drinks, ice creams, snacks, and light meals
- Our health & safety practices have been assessed by independent outdoor safety experts and we are - AdventureMark Safety Certified.
- Hanmer Springs Attractions reserves the right to refuse participation should any person be affected by alcohol, medication, or any other substance such that they may be a risk to themselves or others.
