How long is the drive to Waitangi?

Waitangi is in the Bay of Islands, around three hours north of Auckland each way, so this is a full day trip of about 12 hours.

Is this a private or group tour?

This is a scheduled group day tour. If you would prefer a private Bay of Islands experience, get in touch and we can tailor one for you.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket, sun protection and a camera. It is a full day heading north, so dress for variable weather.

Does the tour include photo stops at scenic viewpoints?

Does the tour include lunch and all entrance fees?

All our tours include entrance fees to attractions, plus snacks and water. Private tours go further – they also include lunch, but not the small group ones. So you get a hassle-free experience with everything included.

Is the tour family-friendly?

Yes, all our tours are family-friendly. We plan with families in mind: comfortable transport, pace that works for different ages, kid-friendly stories and stops, and options for breaks so children (and parents!) stay happy.

How many passengers do you fit on a tour?

Our standard small-group tours are capped at around 20 guests so they feel personal, relaxed, and manageable.

Do the vehicles come with Wifi? What about charging ports on board?

Yes – our vehicles provide free WiFi so you can stay connected. There are also USB charging ports available so your devices stay powered throughout the tour.

Do you offer any type of wheelchair-accessible tours?

Yes. We can accommodate folded wheelchairs, but we need to know in advance so we can make sure everything runs smoothly. Please note that vehicles are not equipped with ramps.

Does the tour provide skip-the-line access at major attractions?

Yes – we pre-book all entrance tickets on your behalf. That means you don’t need to spend time in queueing to purchase tickets; you go straight in.
