Tourist Information About Wairarapa
There are many great experiences to enjoy across Wairarapa. There are vineyard tours and wine tastings in Martinborough, where you can cycle or walk between small, family-owned wineries known for their award-winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. There are scenic bike rides and walks along the Remutaka Rail Trail, which follows an old railway line through forests and farmland. There are wildlife tours at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre, where you can watch daily kaka and eel feedings or take a night walk to see kiwi.
There are coastal walks at Castlepoint and Cape Palliser, where you can explore rugged cliffs, beaches, and seal colonies. There are excellent stargazing spots in the Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve, especially around Martinborough and the Aorangi Forest.
