Escape the hectic life and join us on our classical sailing boat Kindred Spirit for a true sailing experience. On Kindred Spirit you cruise in superior comfort with a large deck space and a lounge under the main deck.
Enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake’s remarkable coastline as you discover the bays and hidden bush while listening to our experienced skipper. Learn about the history of the lake and the Maori Rock Carvings, one of the most extraordinary contemporary carvings in the world. Give the crew a hand hoisting the sails and take a turn on the wheel or just snuggle under some blankets and enjoy the wide selection of drinks. Take a dip and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the largest freshwater lake in Australasia (weather dependent).
We have a fridge and a freezer aboard, as well as a high quality sound system. The boat is fully equipped for safety and enjoyment.

Please be at the boat 15 minutes prior to departure for check in. People failing to show up for check-in can not be refunded.
Kindred Spirit is located in Berth 14, Taupo Boat Harbour, Redoubt Street, Taupo.
You can park anywhere at the Boat Harbour on Redoubt Street or on Ferry Road. There are no time restrictions.
Sailing trips are subject to minimum numbers, lake and weather conditions.
If the experience is cancelled by us (because of the weather or anything else out of your control), you will be offered an alternative date or time or a full refund.
Additional Information
Dress comfortable and warm (layered clothes work best), wind- and showerproof jacket recommended. Bring swimwear and towel (during summer), sunblock, sunglasses and hat. No hard soled shoes or high heels!rnNot accessible for wheelchairs or prams. rnDogs allowed upon consultation.
