On this self-guided wineries cycling tour you are given exclusive access to an informative winery map. Your guide will collect you from central Queenstown and drive you out to the starting point, narrating information along the way. The off-road trail is 9kms long and classified as easy, so suitable for varying abilities. Stop when and where you want along the way, including at wineries, breweries, and eateries.
This half day, self-guided ride begins with a scenic shuttle transfer from Queenstown to the start of The Gibbston Valley - the Kawarau Suspension bridge - home of the world famous bungy jump. Here we cover mountain bike fitting, navigation, bike safety and very importantly; winery information. From Bungy, spend your afternoon leisurely biking along the Gibbston River Trail using our informative map to visit as many of the 8 wineries, tavern and brewery linked throughout this easy riding trail. Enjoy a relaxed lunch en-route or picnic at one of the many wineries.
We will pick you up, and any wine you buy along the way, at 4:30pm from the Gibbston Tavern (or another pre- arranged point in the valley) for your relaxing vehicle transfer back to Queenstown.
