Full Description

This experience begins with a 20 minute scenic flight to 18,500ft where you’ll enjoy beautiful views of Lake Taupo, Mount Ruapehu and on a clear sunny day, you’ll be able to see from coast-to-coast of the Central North Island - all the way from Mount Maunganui to Taranaki! You'll even get a glimpse of Mount Doom from Lord of The Rings.

Once you’ve reached altitude, the doors will open and you’ll sit on the edge of the plane with your tandem master seated behind you. Take a deep breath...it’s time to jump! Plunging from the plane, experience the exhilaration of 75 seconds of free fall as you reach speeds of up to 200km/ph. Feel the buzz as you float back down to earth with a serene parachute ride, landing safely at the drop zone.

This experience departs from Taupo Tandem Skydiving, Anzac Memorial Drive, Taupo Airport, Taupo 3378, New Zealand. Please advise provider at the time of booking if staying within the Taupo region to organise a pickup.

Additional Information

Photo and video packages available for an additional cost. NZ public holidays will incur a 15% surcharge on skydives, video/photo packages will not be effected by the surcharge.
This experience is weather dependant. Skydives will not go ahead in strong winds, rain, or heavy cloud. In the event your skydive is cancelled due to the weather, the provider will endeavour to find the next best suitable time to suit you and your travel plans.
The maximum weight limit for this experience is 100kg.
Please allow 2-3 hours for the duration of this experience
